HISTORY OF THE MINISTRY
The Word is God Worship Center was founded through the leading of the Holy Spirit on December 25th 1989 in Pastor Lamar Beverly-Davis' living room. We thank God that Pastor Lamar hearkened to the voice of God along with his loving wife Pastor Denise Beverly-Davis.
The ministry then moved to Martin Luther King Drive and from there God moved us to 3320 West Vliet Street in Milwaukee, WI. Since Pastor Lamar's passing in October of 2010, Pastor Ansen Beverly-Davis, his son, has taken the role of Senior Pastor at The Word is God Worship Center. Along with his beloved mother, Pastor Denise, and wife, Pastor Nicole, the mission to win souls for the kingdom will continue to press forward as we reach the lost by various ministries within the ministry.
